Criteria adopted and Process of Admission

As per the Panjab University guidelines, the admissions for different courses start in the month of July, after the summer break every year. College Prospectus giving a detailed account of courses, eligibility, fees structure and other important information is made available.

The criteria adopted for process of admission in various courses is decided on basis of the past trend of enrollment and number of seats in different courses. In the UG Programs of B.A., BCA, PGDCA , PGDFD & Foundation course of Human Rights and PG Programs of M.A. (Punjabi), the admission is offered on basis of merit whereas in case of all other programs admission is done on first come first serve basis, as the sufficient number of seats are available in response to their demand. However, in case of vocational subject of Computer Science and PGDFD and (M.A.Punjabi), the students having higher percentage of marks are given preference. The merit list is displayed on the college notice boards. In case of any doubt, the candidates for admission are allowed to seek clarifications for their satisfaction. The relevant information can also be availed from the RTI Cell of the college, established as per provisions of the Act.

Minimum Percentage of Marks for Admission at Entry Level:

The minimum percentage of marks at entry level for each programs is also recorded for future reference. During the ongoing academic session (2016-17) this parameter for different courses is as under:
